Poems

I was sitting in my hammock that hangs in my backyard

listening to the sounds around me,

the chirp, the pop, the bark,

and when I heard that pop it reminded me, you see,

of the little, giant, bubbles that go trickling in the see…

I was swimming in the ocean looking for the rarest fish,

I was looking for the fish that would be tonight’s main dish.

I found one! It’s beautiful! With red, and blue, and green!

Just then I realized I was sitting in a swing.
