BOP and Tiger Beat hung out with Disney Radio’s Next Big Thing winners, Kicking Daisies. Did YOU know that singers have to warm up their voices before they perform? Band members, Caitlin and Carly Kalafus, Duran Visek, and Ben Spremulli showed us what they do to get their voices ready for a show. They also told us about what it was like to be a part of the competition, where they got their name, and where they get their inspirations from. Q: How was it competing in the Next Big Thing competition?
Duran: Awesome, first off.
Carly: All the other artists are so cool, they’re so talented and we just immediately clicked with them, became best friends, so if we could have it our way, we’d all win.
Duran: It was a lot of fun heading out to L.A. and just filming, very stress free.
Q: Did you guys think that you’d win?
Carly: I didn’t know because it really depended. Every artist had their own genre of music, so I wasn’t sure what the majority of the audience would like and I guess it was us so it was kinda really cool.
