With the DVD release of Race To Witch Mountain in just a few days, AnnaSophia Robb and Alexander Ludwig wanted to give Tiger Beat and BOP some SERIOUS secrets about what filming the movie was really like! We talked about EVERYTHING. From how they’re BOTH similar and different from the characters they play, to what types of superpowers they would have if they could, to the OMG moments they had on the set. Turns out they’re both really funny and Alexander is a total jokester. Q: How are you alike or different from the character that you play?
AnnaSophia: I’m very different from my character, I think. Well, A) I’m not an alien and she is more calm than me, she keeps her emotions under control and always thinks through everything; I think that me I’m a little bit louder.
Alexander: Well, I don’t think that there was much in common between me and my character. I guess one thing, is that I am very protective of the people I love, and that’s one thing that he has. Also, I actually have super powers as well, so that’s how I relate to him, as well. I can fly. Yeah, I’m actually secretly a super hero at night.
Q: Haha! What about YOU, AnnaSophia? What superpower would you have if you could?
AnnaSophia: I think I would want to fly too. I think that would be amazing! Or if I could transport myself, I think that’d be nice, like in Jumper.
Q: Where is the first place you would go if you could transport yourself from one place to another?
AnnaSophia: I would go back to London. I love it there. I would go see people that I haven’t seen in a while, because that’s not a place I go to very often.
Alexander: Well, because I am a super hero, it’s wherever it calls for me…duty calls! I think somewhere tropical and peaceful. Like Fiji maybe, where there’s some good surfing. I’ll go surfing maybe.
Q: Any embarrassing moments you can share from the set?
AnnaSophia: There were several. One time the car door wouldn’t close, and I kept slamming and slamming it, and the whole crew was laughing at me and they caught it all on camera. They played it at the wrap party. They were like, ‘close the door Anna Sophia’ I was like, ‘it won’t close, it won’t!’ I kept trying and trying…
Alexander: I had an embarrassing moment but I guess it wasn’t really from the set. This is the most current. Me and my buddies we’re avid surfers, we love surfing so every summer we go down to San Diego and we surf our brains out with our families. After we went to the changing room and had to shower. I came out and in the men’s locker room they have this awesome lemonade, I grab some lemonade, I have my bathing suit in one hand, lemonade in the other, and a towel wrapped around me and I was completely naked other than that. I walk out and everyone’s having dinner on the beach and all of the sudden my towel decides to drop and go for it’s own little walk somewhere else away from me. I was completely naked in front of everyone having dinner. It was quite a sight, I dropped my lemonade and quickly picked it up and walked out, it was pretty funny.
Q: Do you guys have any other weird talents or quirks that readers might want to know about you?
AnnaSophia: I like to brush my teeth, I LOVE brushing my teeth, it’s weird, but there’s something about it that I really like. I like that feeling, I always brush my teeth.
Alexander: One of them would be that when I sleep in a huge bed, I sleep on the side. I don’t know if that’s weird, but I sleep on the side, I don’t sleep in the middle. I have no idea why.
Q: When you were working on Race to Witch Mountain, what was your favorite snack that you would have on set?
AnnaSophia: I had Krispy Kreme donuts almost everyday. I’d have half in the morning and save the other half, sometimes I’d just go all out. Just regular glazed.
Alexander: Actually, it was the same thing. You don’t understand, this almost became an addiction, to the point where Ana Sophia and I used to cut the donut in half and portion herself to make sure that we weren’t getting too much.

hi annasophia robb and alexander ludwig. ive always dreamed of meeting both of u after i saw the movie u guys were in. it was the first oone i saw with both of u in it. the movie was called, The Seeker the Dark is Rising. ive wanted to meet u guys ever since. race to witch mountain was amazing. my favorite part of the movie was when the bounty hunter found u guys in that old home in the middle of nowhere. i just luved that part. i really hope i meet u guys someday. if i did it would be a dream come true. bye
