Where You’ve Seen Them: If you’re a big fan of The Wanted, then you definitely know who Lawson are. With a sound similar to The Wanted combined with The Script, Lawson continued the British Invasion when they sold out the Troubadour in West Hollywood on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013. This four-piece group, who all play multiple instruments, started out four years ago and finally had their breakthrough in the UK in 2011 when they were the opening act for The Wanted both on their Behind the Bars Tour and #TheCode Tour. They made a trip over to the States again to film their new music video in California! Some of their hits in the UK include “Standing in the Dark,” “Learn to Love Again,” and “Taking Over Me.”  Fun fact: Taylor Swift loves their music!

Why They’re Crush-Worthy: Not only are they SUPER cute and have adorable accents, but they are also really sweet and love meeting their fans. The story behind their name is also very inspiring! Before the band formed, lead singer Andy Brown found out he had a brain tumor. The surgeon who performed his life-saving surgery was named David Lawson. Hence the name, Lawson!

Hi Carly, I’m so sorry about your cat! It must be a heartbreaking and scary time. You and your family can spread community awareness by putting up “Lost Cat” posters and offering a reward. Also, you can check your local shelters or pounds in case somebody found your cat and brought her in. Or check places that your cat is familiar with, like the closest park or neighbor’s house. Most cats are crazy clever, so hopefully your kitty is safe and waiting for rescue somewhere!

Hey BlueBerryPancakes! Don’t worry, it seems like your guy friend is probably just suffering from super shyness. Since he was brave enough to tell you he likes you, he most likely does like you. But sometimes boys can just be shy when it comes to approaching girls. Next time you see him in the halls, let him know you see him with a small wave or a kind hello. Nothing too over-the-top like a big hug, or he might get scared! After a while, he’ll realize he has nothing to be embarrassed about… and he might just say hi first!

I nearly check her Facebook page and see she’s hanging out with her cool classmates. OMG!!!!!!! I can’t believe I’m saying this, but, I didn’t know where I get there!!!!! Now I’m being left all alone, and no one will hang out with me, and protect me. What the fizzle should I do??? I don’t wanna lose my BFF!!!”

Hi Anabeatrizbarri! It always stinks when friends grow apart, especially when one friend makes new friends. But remember: it doesn’t mean that your BFF has forgotten about you! Most likely, she’s trying to find friends as cool as you. Shoot her a text or Skype her to ask for advice in making new friends. Also, try hanging out over the weekends – she might even introduce you to her new friends (and you might all become new BFFs)!

taylor wrote, “Dear Blog Girl, I have a very mean science teacher. She says I am disrespectful and rude, and when she talks to me, if I try to say something she will say, “don’t argue with me” I never do anything bad in her class, and she said very mean things about me to another teacher, like, “can u believe this kid? ” and she got mad at me for having an inhaler even though the school gave me permission. I know summer is soon, but this teacher makes me feel like I cannot do anything.”

Hey taylor, that’s so horrible to hear! There may be some miscommunication between you and your teacher. Since she won’t listen to you, perhaps you could try asking a parent to arrange a meeting to find out what exactly your teacher is upset about. Your parent could tell her just how concerned you are about improving. Your teacher may see that you are serious you are and become more understanding. If that doesn’t work, just remember that you’ll soon be free for the summer (and free to drop off a teacher evaluation at the office)!

love4taylorswift wrote, “I love singing. Music helps me through a lot of stuff. I want to be a singer one day. But there’s a problem. Personally, I think I’m a horrible singer or not the best singer. I’m so scared of what people will think of me. I don’t want people to hate me. It’s really scary for me not to know what people’s thinking about me. I’m scared of being judged too.”

Hi love4taylorswift! It’s so cool that your love for music has helped you through a lot of stuff. Unfortunately, singing is a job that comes with a LOT of judgment, so you’ll definitely have to overcome that fear! If you’re scared of what people will think, you could start out singing for a loved one, like a parent or a best friend. They’ll be honest but definitely won’t hate on you. You could also try out posting some covers on YouTube, where lots of strangers (who you’ll never meet) will tell you what they think. If you truly love singing, keep at it! Everyone can improve with enough practice!
