Fall Movie Preview: Our Reactions
September 3, 2013
Hey BOP and Tiger Beat readers! Summer is ending so that means time to head back to school, but it also means we’re heading into the fall movie season (Hello, Peeta!). We picked a few of our fave movies coming out this year and thought we’d let you in our reactions to the trailers.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, 11/22/13
We can’t help it — we’re just so excited for this sequel! Catching Fire sends last movie’s winners, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence
) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson
) on a victory tour throughout the districts. However, their presence, Katniss’ in particular, engages the people in a way President Snow did not expect (and doesn’t like!). In Catching Fire, no one is safe as our fave couple is sent back into the arena, along with other years’ victors, for the special 75th Annual Hunger Games. Will they make it out again? Will Katniss and Peeta’s love survive? We’ll have to see the movie to find out! (I know, we’re dying too!)
Romeo and Juliet, 10/11/13
Yup, this one’s going to be a sob fest. If you haven’t heard of William Shakespeare’s classic love story, get ready. Taylor Swift
‘s BFF Hailee Steinfeld plays Juliet, a young girl who falls for a boy named Romeo, from a rival family. Their families try to tear them apart, but they’ll do anything to be together…Yeah, we’re crying already.
This new Disney cartoon from the makers of Tangled and Wreck-it Ralph looks adorable! Frozen tells the tale of a brave girl named Anna who sets off to find her long-lost sister, Elsa… who just happens to have icy powers that are keeping the kingdom trapped in winter (Wait, no summer?!). Sounds like a crazy story, and judging by the trailer, we’ll guess she makes some goofy friends along the way. We could use the relief after the serious drama from the first two films!
Ender’s Game, 11/01/13
Woah. There’s a lot going on in this trailer. We’re not sure if we can handle it! Based on the popular book series, Ender’s Game is a big action thriller, battling the bright Ender Wiggins (Asa Butterfield) against aliens attacking his home planet. OMG! Have you read the book? Will you see how the movie plays out?
So there’s some great movies coming out this fall. We know we’re excited. How about YOU? Will you be rushing to theaters to see any of these? Which ones? Share with us in the comments and on Twitter!
