Even though the One Direction 3D concert movie doesn’t come out until next summer, Niall and Liam Payne recently dished some juicy details about the film! Other superstars (like 1D’s pal Justin Bieber) have released their own concert movies, but the boys of 1D have some special things in store for Directioners.
First, the movie will let fans get up close and personal with the boys. Most concert movies have a behind-the-scenes aspect to them, but Niall said that they want fans to get a sense of who they really are during the documentary parts.
“It’s going to be a concert movie, but with a documentary side rather than a concert side so we wanted to give it like get our personalities across because the fans know us, but we want them to know us deeper,” Niall said.
So this movie is going to show more than rehearsals and sound checks- you’ll get a sneak peek at the boys’ everyday lives! We’re super excited to get a whole new insight on the band, but the movie has a personal value to them too. Liam Payne admitted that it would serve as their keepsake for all the amazing experiences they’ve had so far.
“You know what we always say, when we left home to do X Factor our parents were like ‘Make sure you take loads of pictures’, but we’ve got a film to do that for us now so we can be lazy,” Liam said.
With all this talk about getting personal, it’s no surprise that one of the boys will actually take part in filming! “Niall’s got a camera, so he’s going to film some of the film,” Liam added.
