2012: Demi’s Year of Hair

Demi Lovato changes up her hair styles as often as Katy Perry changes her nail designs — which definitely isn’t a bad thing. It’s awesome! We’ve always admired Demi for her independence, beauty and strength. Her hair styles reflect her always-exciting personality and fresh outlook on life. As she’s switched her hair ‘dos more than any other celeb we can think of, we’ve put together a chronological photo roundup of our fave Demi ‘dos below. Enjoy!

Early January:

At the beginning of the year, Demi rocked a long, wavy, rich shade of chestnut locks. With her side-swept bangs to complete the look, Demi turned heads every time she entered a room.

Later that same month, Demi hit the red carpet sporting the same red cascade of hair, but this time more curly and with a half-up ‘do. We love how elegant this look is, especially paired with her pretty red dress.

March:

By March, Demi grew out her side bangs and opted for chestnut-brown-colored hair mixed with blonde highlights. She kept the curly look, though, and we think the final result was absolutely gorgeous. Clearly Big Time Rush‘s Logan Henderson thinks so too!

Early July:

A few months later, we spotted Demi with a full head of blonde waves AND cute, dip-dyed pink ends! The best part of this photo is her confident, “Skyscraper”-sized smile. Any hairstyle that causes you do THAT is a great one!

Demi stepped out as an X Factor judge this year, and it’s safe to say she rocked enough awesome hair ‘dos to fit the prestigious part, such as the one above. The slick-straight style complements her trendy and super-cute hair roll on top of her head perfectly.

Late July:

We can’t get enough of this long, slicked-back ponytail Demi wore to the 2012 Teen Choice Awards. The giant ponytail holder totally gives her a futuristic and too-elegant-for-words vibe.

Early September:

In September, Demi returned to a full head of blonde hair. We love this beachy-messy look, especially paired with her fierce red lipstick, black dress and leather jacket. Good choices, Demi!

Late September:

Just to prove to the world that her hair could get even BETTER, Demi straightened her blonde locks, added rockin’ highlights and… got BANGS! This girl never ceases to amaze us.

November:

Once again, Demi killed it with this ‘do. She went from blonde to dark, dark brown and sported a tight, slicked-back high bun. It brings out her pretty eyes, eyebrows and complexion.

Most recently, Demi went back to a more natural (but still rich) head of wavy brown hair. We’re loving it!
