Most of our fave family of wizards is reuniting in 2013 for the Wizards of Waverly Place TV movie, but, unfortunately, David Henrie won’t be one of them. We were totally bummed when we heard the Russo’s would be adventuring in Italy without Justin, but David had a pretty good excuse for being absent: he’s too busy with his megastar movie career!

The former Wizard has three movies in the works, but he made time in his busy schedule to chat with Glamoholic magazine about the good ol’ days on Waverly Place.

“It’s sad to move on from a group of people I loved so much, but it’s exciting to move on to a new chapter,” David said.

He also dished on what he misses about being brainiac Justin!

“It was a fun character, and I’ll miss the cast and crew so much,” he said.

Four seasons on the Wizards cast definitely had its perks, though, and David said he learned a ton by playing Justin. What was his favorite part of the experience?

“Being able to write on the show. I learned so much about what happens behind the scenes, which ended up helping me as an actor as well.” David said.

We’ll definitely miss him in the Wizards reunion, but we can’t wait to see his movie career take off! What do YOU think? Tell us in the comments and on Twitter!
