A fashion essential is something every girl should have in their closet, that will never go out of style! Every week, we’ll be featuring one article of clothing, along with three examples of how to rock it.
This week’s essential? Scarves!
Why you need them in your closet:
Scarves are a necessity, but also an accessory! When it’s cold outside, it’s always good to have a scarf on hand to help keep you warm. But scarves can also be worn to make the simplest outfits go from drab to fab! It’s good to have a variety of scarves in your closet so you can wear them on different occasions. We suggest having one of each from the following list: solid colored, colorful/patterned, light material, knit.

Make It or Break It‘s Cassie Scerbo always looks cute, even when she’s all bundled up! We love how she paired her black tights and edgy leather combat boots with a girly-girl jacket in hot pink. She tops off this adorable look with a nude sweater dress and matching ruffle scarf. So pretty!
2. Demi Lovato

If you’re a fan of Demi Lovato, you know she’s famous for always rocking her boho-chic style. She stays true to her look by wearing an oversized tan cardigan over a simple black tank. She tucks her black pants into a pair of trendy knee-high boots, and accessorizes with chunky gold and black bangles. We love how she topped off her look with a black and tan scarf. It ties the outfit together perfectly!
3. Nikki Reed

We absolutely love this fashion ensemble worn by Breaking Dawn star Nikki Reed. She pairs her pretty burnt orange skirt with a black blazer and lace-up ankle boots. To make the outfit look less formal, she throws on a preppy black and white striped scarf. Too cute, Nikki!
BONUS: Wear it as a headband

Rihanna rocked the runway in an adorable sweetheart top and bright red skirt. But the highlight of her look? Her adorable scarf headband. To get RiRi’s look, simply take a small scarf, fold it in half (so it’s less wide), and tie it in a bow around your head. So chic!
